Ingredients
2 ½ cups filtered water
1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder or 3’’ Cinnamon stick
1 Green Tea bag
1 Tablespoon honey (optional sweetener)
Preparation
Place the green tea and cinnamon in a container with a tight fitting lid like a Mason jar
Bring the water to a boil
Pour the boiling water over the tea and spice and cover the container
Let them steep for 10 minutes
Strain the tea and spice with a sieve or coffee filter
Serve the tea hot in mugs
Sweeten with honey (optional)
Tips
1. Never use aluminum vessels to prepare herbal teas. Use stainless steel or glass items.
2. You can steep the herbs and spices for 30 minutes and make a stronger infusion. This can be served with ice as an iced tea.
3. When using fresh herbs use 1 tablespoon of fresh herb for each cup of water.
